lucy loves... my new postcards
Although I love my business cards, they are not always the best way for people to see the work I do. And with being part of my first wedding fair (which I imagine will be the first of many to come), I decided to design some postcards showcasing my work.
And here they are! I'm really pleased with them. There is a range of stationery on them, all things you've seen before but all together in one place! As I am always creating new bespoke stationery, I decided to do a small print run so no doubt I will be putting some new designs on here very soon.
Hope you like them! And if you would like some, know someone who might or can put them in places where potentials brides and grooms may see them, please contact lucyloves@live.co.uk. Thanks!

lucy loves... Aine & Peter

Aine & Peter's wedding took place in the chapel where Aine's grandparents had got married 100 years before, set in mountains in a small village where her father's family is from, in the centre of Italy. It was an absolutely stunning setting which was also very sentimental, especially as Peter's Uncle was the Priest on the day. How lovely is that?
They enlisted lucy loves... help to create their invitations, table plan and menu cards. It was a simple yet elegant design which worked perfectly with the red and white colour scheme, whilst also highlighting the couples travels in South America (where Peter romantically proposed). The invites also gave guests a sneak of where the wedding was going to be taking place using photographs of the beautiful church and square.
Aine and her four bridesmaids looked like pure Hollywood and Peter and his four brothers who doubled as groomsmen also scrubbed up pretty well!

lucy loves... Golden Glamour Styled Shoot
![]() |

So I've chatted about this a bit on the blog but I can finally share the photos from the styled shoot for Cotswold Style Magazine I was involved in just before Christmas. I've had to wait a while as it was for the January issue which is out now!
Organised by wedding planner Sophie Smith, who I previously featured on the blog here, I was honoured and very excited to be asked but also if I'm totally honest, because it was my first time doing something like this, a little nervous!
I was given the brief of 'golden and glamourous' for a winter themed wedding. So I got to work and designed Save the Dates, invites, menu cards and a few other on the day stationery pieces.
I decided to use a range of fonts and gold colours to create the glamorous feel as well as using an elegant motif which was echoed throughout the stationery pieces. To add to the luxurious look and feel I added gold ribbon and crystals for extra sparkle as well as using sumptuous luxury paper. And if I do say so myself, I love the confetti/Save the Date idea!

And I couldn't be more thrilled with the results! I'm really pleased with the stationery but they have really come alive with the fabulous styling on the day and all of the other wonderful suppliers who contributed to the shoot. To see a digital copy of the magazine, click here.
Here's a few more of the other parts of the shoot. So many lovely things!

lucy loves... Off to Wed Wedding Fair - 23rd Feb at The Paintworks, Bristol
2014 brings something new already for lucy loves... I am exhibiting at my first ever Wedding Fair. And I feel I've picked a fabulous one... The Off to Wed Wedding Fair.
Taking place at the lovely central Bristol event space, The Paintworks (which is actually where one of my lovely couples are getting married this year) on Sunday 23rd February from 11am - 4pm.
In the words of the event organisers...
Off To Wed is an event designed to help the process of organising a wedding by bringing brides, grooms and wedding exhibitors together. Off To Wed isn’t a big national event that’s sterile and impersonal nor is it super-niche, pretentious or self-indulgent. Whatever your style, Off To Wed wedding fair will provide inspiration. You probably want your personality to shine through on your wedding so don’t be told you have to stick to a particular type of wedding. You might want a bit of vintage or 80’s styling but it doesn’t mean the whole wedding has to fall into one category.I loved the concept of the Wedding Fair as it's something lucy loves... is all about. Making a wedding day as personal as possible and about the bride and groom and the Off to Wed Fair will be full of ideas and inspiration to help make a couple's wedding day so special.
So Amy and I will be there all day showing off lots of the work I have already produced as well as being ready to meet lots of lovely couples and chat about weddings (our favourite subject)! And as two ladies who have been there, done that and got the dress to prove it (as well as working in the wedding industry!), we will also be there to offer advice, answer questions and hopefully fulfil your wedding stationery needs!
Guests can also register early to get a glass of fizz on arrival as well. You just simply need to register by clicking here. Also to find the venue (which has lots of parking) click here.
Hopefully see you there!

ps if you have any queries about the event, please get in contact with the lovely Lizzie by emailing her on hello@offtowed.co.uk

I'm Lucy and I love weddings!
Quite simply from the moment my husband (of three years) popped the question six years ago, I could not get enough of weddings.
With a background in design and styling and a love all of things weddings I thought it was about time these two worlds collided and it's starting with this blog.
I specialise in wedding stationery and offer my couples a unique and truly bespoke experience which extends to planning, help, advice, on the day assistance and styling - you name it, I will do it!
I also design bespoke keepsake prints and celebration posters so please take a look at my other site lucy loves... design
On here you can follow all my loves (some of which extend beyond the world of weddings) as well as things I lovingly create for my couples.
love lucy x
