lucy loves... supports Thornbury Rugby Club

The marquee with all of the lucy loves... touches

Thornbury Rugby Club has been a major part of our lives. Since year dot.

You know when you go to a local club and there are little children running around, getting in the way - well Lucy and I were two of those kids! It means a lot to us as well. Not only does my husband now play for Thornbury (after defecting from football!), Lucy met her husband at the club but also it is where our parents met. We are all involved playing (I was in the first ever Thornbury Girls team!), first aiding, pulling pints, cooking chips and burgers on a Saturday afternoon amongst other things. It's not glamorous but we all enjoy it!

Anyway, this year Thornbury RFC celebrates its 50th Anniversary and over the last weekend of August, over three consecutive days, the club hosted three events - a Ball, Sportsman's Dinner and a mini festival starring local legends The Wurzels! Need I also say that Lucy and I had very little sleep over those three days!

And of course lucy loves... got involved! Lucy designed all of the stationery including tickets, posters, table plans, menus and table numbers and I made all the bunting - all 200 metres of it! We love volunteering our time to help the club and if we do say so ourselves, the lucy loves... magic touches completed the events perfectly.

Happy Anniversary Thornbury RFC and here's to the next 50 years!

love amy x
